Kids to Parks Day National School Contest
National Park Trust (NPT) invites students across the country to participate in the 8th annual Kids to Parks Day, a nationwide grassroots movement to celebrate America's parks and public lands and waters.
In honor of this day, the Kids to Parks Day National School Contest is NOW OPEN! All Title I schools in the United States (grades pre-K through 12) are eligible to apply. (Title I schools are defined as 40% or more of their students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch, the federal indicator of low income.) Schools can receive funding for a KTP Day event at a park or public land/waterway in their community. NPT loves helping educators engage their students with the great outdoors.
The deadline for entries is Thursday, February 1, 2018. Winners will be announced on Valentine's Day, Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

National Park Trust's annual Kids to Parks Day National School Contest empowers students to plan their own educational park experience. Open to all Title 1 schools in grades pre-K through 12, this contest provides grants up to $1,000 to cover transportation, park-related fees, stewardship supplies, or anything else students believe would enhance their experience. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2018. Details can be found at https://www.parktrust.org/kids-to-parks/school-contest/
